Congratulations to Jade Mclean-Inglis on winning the Julie Linton Award for Outstanding Achievement
At this years conference, MTI were delighted to present the first annual Julie Linton Award for Outstanding Achievement to Jade Mclean-Inglis
Jade showed resilience in meeting a personal challenge. She is dyslexic and found that learning the APP through online lessons didn’t suit her learning style. She came up with a plan to digest the content in a way that worked for her, meaning a lot of self-study. She had great success with this approach, gaining 80% in her APP exam. The Board recognised the level of self-responsibility and determination Jade showed and felt that overcoming a learning challenge would have resonated strongly with Julie and what she valued in massage training.?
The board would also like to congratulate runner up, Jennie Walbank. Jennie showed a great level of care towards her fellow students, being willing to be there for them and support them, without sacrificing her own learning. The Board said: “Your commitment to helping your fellow students is inspiring. That is something that meant a lot to Julie and we know she would have appreciated hearing your story.”
Applications will open again in April 2026. You can read more about the award here.
