Our Charity
As an organisation, we support the Healing Hands Network. This was set up 21 years ago by three therapists who were deeply moved by the horrors of the Yugoslav wars in the 1990s, and wanted to offer healing to help the people there rebuild their lives.
Every year they send two therapists a week to their clinic in Sarajevo, between May and October. The therapists stay for two weeks and fundraise to cover the cost of their stay. As well as massage, the therapists offer workshops in relaxation and breathing techniques, basic massage, and Reiki to help empower the local people to take care of themselves and their communities.
You can find out more on the dedicated Healing Hands page. It's £35 a year to join the network, which includes induction training and invitations to social events. The network also runs a project in the UK to help members of the armed forces returning from war.
