Muscle Testing Workshop with Jane Langston

27 March 2021, 10.00 – 12.00

Zoom online event

Muscle Testing Workshop

Many bodywork therapists wish they could have some pre-treatment assessments to help guide them to appropriate treatment with massage or exercises. These assessments can also be performed post-treatment to check effectiveness.

Useful to any massage therapist, Pilates instructor, yoga practitioner, personal trainer, reflexologist and soft tissue therapist who wishes to tailor each session or treatment to suit each client. It also gives clear evidence of improvement for both practitioner and client.

Attendees will go home armed with some useful assessment skills ready to use in clinic to monitor effectiveness of massage sessions.

Please note, it would be good to have a body to work with for the workshop, if you have someone you can safely work with. If that’s not possible a skeleton would be a good substitute.

Introduction to muscle testing course on 27 March 2021:

Includes latissimus dorsi, psoas, TFL, gluteus med, gluteus max and QL. These tests give assessment skills for massage treatments that can be included in a massage therapy session to see if there has been an improvement between pre and post massage.
