Jen Wren is a professional Dance Artist and Body Mechanic.
She is a member of CNHC, NKT, Ergasia PT, Action Potential (CS), a lecturer for Hands-on-Training, The massage Training Institute and certified Pro-Taper and Instructor (Kinesiology Tape).
Her career started as a medical secretary in the A&E/radiology department of a busy city hospital during which time she became interested in and studied hands on therapies for injury rehabilitation.
Having been a competitive artistic Roller-Skater for the Scottish Squad from an early age, Jen eventually opted to leave the medical arena to return to a career in the arts. She graduated from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and has since enjoyed a string of acclaimed choreographic productions and tours and an incredibly diverse career in dance.
Having experienced and overcome complex injury herself, Jen calls herself a “body geek”. She has studied the mechanics of the body in depth specialising in injury management, prevention, diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation techniques.

Jen offers a refined physical therapy practice which includes advanced hands on techniques in musculoskeletal and soft tissue manipulation, neuro-biomechanics, manual therapy and structural re-balancing with a strong interest in anatomy lines and fascial release.
She employs a range of tools and knowledge to assess, test, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate the body through a number of integrated therapeutic & movement approaches, including:
• Neuro Kinetic Therapy (master)
Muskelo-Skeletal Manual Orthopaedic Physical Therapy
• Advanced Diagnostic and Rehabilitation Soft Tissue Therapy/Remedial Massage
• Fascial Manipulation

Jen deals with all bodies to great effect and is celebrated by a client base which includes world class independent dancers and those from within companies such as: Ballet Society of Colorado Springs, Phoenix Dance Theatre, De Nada Dance Theatre, Sardoville, English National Ballet, Kerry Nicholls PMP, Studio 19 and NSCD.

“Jen Wren... an amazing practitioner and healer. Her knowledge and insight is so detailed that your own understanding of the body and personal injury becomes really clear. There is no dead end or nothing to be done! She quickly identifies any issues, corrects and advises in an astonishing manner. Sessions with Jen are unique, individual and effective. Positivity streams out of her and passion, expertise and skill, care and generosity is what makes Jen amazing.” – Keira Martin
“When I injured my back, I had numerous clinical investigations with negative results. After 6 months of ineffective physio therapy, I contacted Jen. In our session, she found some astonishing things that I did not know were happening in my body. After treatment, my pain had reduced significantly - results I had never experienced before. Jen gave me a clear and simple rehabilitation programme and its working. Jen is fantastic and what she does clearly works” – Erin Pollitt
In addition to helping people in her busy clinic in Leeds, Jen tours a pop-up clinic primarily in London, Norfolk and Perthshire but also at specific requests to other locations. She remains involved in the teaching and education of other Medical, Health & Therapy Professionals across the UK.
