About the School

Inner Space is a quiet and peaceful venue which aims to provide a nurturing space for students to experience, learn and grow. Inner Space offers the MTI Diploma in Holistic Massage and an Introduction to Massage course.

About the Tutors

The lead tutor is Kit Adam.

Kit has been working as a massage therapist since 2002 and began teaching the MTI Diploma course in 2008.

She has a passion and enthusiasm for holistic massage that she brings into her teaching as well as her work with clients. She is also qualified in Reiki, Aromatherapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Spinal Touch.

Kit is also a teacher and student of Qigong.

Holistic Massage Diploma

The course consists of 10 weekend modules running from October to July each year. Applicants are requested to attend the Introduction to Massage course before applying for the Diploma. As well as anatomy, physiology, pathology and practical massage skills, the course also includes a First Aid course and a business workshop. Students will practise massage techniques on each other during class as well as take part in three supervised clinic sessions.

Inner Space aims to provide students with knowledge and practical skills as well as developing their curiosity and confidence to begin their professional career as massage therapists. It believes that the best learning comes out of having fun so uses a range of teaching methods, including quizzes, games and role play.

Introduction to Massage course

During this weekend course students will learn a simple full body massage. Many people attend this course to develop massage skills to use with family and friends. The course is also an introduction to the MTI approach to massage, which gives students the opportunity to decide whether the diploma course is right for them. The course take place in May, July and September each year.
