Join us for an interactive and experiential workshop combining brief teaching
inputs, guided mindfulness practices, reflective exercises and discussion.

This session introduces therapists to the principles and practice of mindfulness,
exploring how greater present-moment awareness can support personal wellbeing,
professional development and the therapeutic relationship.

Participants will explore concentration-based and insight-based meditations, through
guided exercises, including breath awareness and mindful movement.

We will also explore how mindfulness can be integrated into everyday
therapeutic work, from preparing the treatment space and grounding before a
session to observing posture, movement, breathing and tension in both therapist and
client.

Participants will explore how mindful awareness may support communication,
enhance sensitivity to client needs, encourage recognition of personal stress and
physical strain, and promote a more considered, responsive approach to practice.

Emphasis will be placed on practical application, with participants identifying
opportunities to incorporate brief mindful moments into their own life and work.
Reflective discussion and personal practice planning will support the development of
sustainable mindfulness habits beyond the training.

By the end of the session, participants will have gained practical mindfulness
techniques, a greater understanding of their potential relevance to therapeutic
practice, and the foundations of an individual plan for integrating mindfulness into
their professional and personal lives.

After the mindfulness session we will have lunch together (bring your own), followed by a massage swap with a chance to give and receive massage OR  a chance to have a group discussion about business strategy for those that would prefer to do so.
