About the School

Learn Massage UK was set up in 2018 when Jenny Hampton moved to Whitchurch in north Shropshire from Bristol. She started teaching introductory workshops in Whitchurch in 2021 and completed her Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training and MTI tutor accreditation in 2022. Her next Holistic Massage Diploma courses are in February and September 2024.’

It’s the only MTI school in the area, covering north Wales, the north Midlands and North-West.

About the Tutors

Jenny Hampton completed the Holistic Massage Diploma with the BCMB in 2010. She has taught introductory workshops since 2014 and teaches the practical part of the diploma course.

Jenny was fascinated by the workings of the nervous system when she did her training and has explored how to help people relax with massage throughout her career. She also values the meditative aspects of massage and aims to rest deep in stillness when she offers sessions. She is excited to teach and guide others using this approach to bodywork.

Ruth Bell

Ruth Bell is teaching Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology on the diploma course. Ruth has a background in dance and movement and trained with MTI school the Sheffield Centre for Massage Training in 2007. Since then she has completed a Thai Massage and teacher training diploma, plus several advanced CPD workshops and taught APP on the BCMB Bristol Holistic Massage Diploma. She says: “I love learning and am very passionate about anatomy. I’m excited to be working with a new MTI school and show the students at Learn Massage the fascinating and complex inner workings of the body."

Holistic Massage Diploma

Jenny’s take on the diploma course is rooted in meditation and intuition, and her aim is to help each student find their unique way to offer massage.

The diploma includes:

• Holistic massage techniques
• Anatomy, physiology and pathology
• Posture and movement
• Therapeutic skills such as how to a create healthy client/practitioner relationship
• Practitioner self-care
• Self-reflection and self-awareness
• Business and marketing skills.

She uses a variety of teaching methods, including creative exercises, conscious movement, meditative practise, field trips, and a huge dollop of laughter!
