About the School

Hands on Health Academy is based in Hillsborough, Sheffield, and grew out of a straightforward frustration: too many massage courses were teaching people to pass an assessment rather than to actually work with clients. It sits alongside its sister business, Hands on Health Studio, a working wellness space offering yoga, Pilates, strength training and massage and holistic therapies, so the Academy isn’t training people in isolation from the industry-it’s built on top of it. 

 

About The Tutor

Katie Warburton has spent 27 years in the massage and holistic therapy industry, long enough to have watched most of its trends arrive, get overhyped, and quietly disappear. She runs both Hands on Health Studio and Hands on Health Academy, staying hands-on in the studio day to day rather than teaching from a distance-so the training she delivers is shaped by what actually happens with real clients, not by what a textbook says should happen. 

 

Holistic Massage Diploma

The Level 4 Professional Holistic Massage Diploma runs over one year, one weekend a month, built for people fitting serious training around an existing life. Alongside the core clinical and theory work, students get regular Massage Labs- hands on sessions with real clients rather than just practising on each other - plus a full business module, because knowing how to give a great massage and knowing how to run a viable massage business are two different skill sets. The result is confident, competent therapists who leave not just qualified, but understanding how to build an income and actually turn a profit, ready to hit the ground running rather than invent a business plan from scratch.
