About the Tutor
Sally Morris' life’s work has been to understand and harness the healing power of connection: connection to self, other and all that is. Sally has been described as an alchemist, combining the elements of touch and connection in all of her therapeutic and teaching work. This fascination with health and healing began 40 years ago during her training in General Nursing, which led to a time in Psychiatric Nursing and Counselling.
Sally began teaching massage in 1993 and joined MTI as a tutor in 1995; she was actively involved with MTI committees until recent years.
In the last 10 years, Sally has focused her own development in the area of Myofascial Release. She has travelled extensively to America, to train with John F Barnes (the father of Myofascial Release). Last year, John endorsed Sally as the JFB MFR Study Group Leader for London and the South East, for anyone who has completed MFR1 with him.
Sally organises backstage massage at various UK festivals and office-based environments. She has a particular interest in teaching seated, hands-free and movement-based massage, as these modalities work so well in the entertainment and event industry and in the corporate world.
Sally teaches massage, anatomy, physiology and pathology on the Bodyology MTI Holistic Massage Diploma in London.
She offers a variety of CPD workshops and courses from her studio in Essex and locations around the UK.
